Strategy

Strategy is the scaffolding for consistent, complementary and supportive decisions to create long term competitive advantage. It creates the roadmap for an organisation's journey in a constantly changing world. We work in partnership with organisations to help identify, develop, and implement practical and achievable strategies.

Our approach to strategy development supports managers to separate strategic thinking from strategic planning. This thinking is the most important part of winning strategy development. Strategic thinking is about understanding the future, market dynamics, adaptation, transformation and scenario analysis - it is not about linear thinking nor extrapolation of the status quo. Strategic thinking should be based on facts, analysis and creative thought to produce systematically sensible and sustainable strategies which cope with your future demands and deliver your growth agenda. It is the process of coalescing on a shared vision for the future and strategies to achieve this vision.

Strategic planning is about documenting strategic thinking in a persuasive way that can be rolled throughout the organisation. Everyone should then be able to link their contribution to the strategy, with appropriate performance indicators and measurement.

We have worked with government, corporate and not-for-profit orgnisations on strategy development for more than twenty years. We offer support and capability building at every stage of the strategic journey including:
