Directors
The McDonnell-Phillips has two Directors and owners of the business – Mark Phillips and Danielle McDonnell. We both work as senior consultants with clients and lead teams of consultants working on major projects.
Mark Phillips
Mark has been a business consultant for nearly thirty years. Extensive experience includes 20 years as managing director of McDonnell-Phillips and past executive management positions in consulting, the public sector and multi-national companies. During his career, he has led many consulting teams working on high profile and sensitive projects.
Experience and expertise includes, organisational/program review, efficiency and effectiveness reviews, strategy development, strategy implementation support and specialized research. Recent projects have involved restructuring, service delivery strategy, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and red-tape reform across a broad array of public and private sector organisations
This very broad professional experience enables Mark to bring a fresh perspective to innovative strategy development. He brings an ability to question the status quo and help organisations to innovate while maintaining work-life balance. Mark has a professional interest in the practical application of new approaches to support organisational improvement and efficiency.
Danielle McDonnell
Danielle is a career consultant, with more than twenty-five years experience in market research, review, strategy/planning and change management. She has been a partner in McDonnell-Phillips for more than 20 years.
Prior to McDonnell-Phillips, she worked as a teacher, for Marketshare and as a lecturer for a leading Queensland university.
She is a member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and ensures that all McDonnell-Phillips projects comply with the ethical and professional requirements of this Society.
Danielle has worked across many different sectors including community services, construction, corporate services, education, government services, health, mining, not-for-profit organisations, recycling, science, transport and main roads, waste, water/utilities, web site usability and CleanTech.
A keen social researcher, Danielle has a special interest in projects with a social justice, community, not-for-profit or indigenous focus.
McDonnell-Phillips has a number of supporting specialist consultants in addition to strong alliances with professional service partners in the areas of ICT, mathematical and statistical modelling, finance, field work, PR and web design. We apply specialists, or other technical experts, based on the unique needs of your project - adding further value and depth to our service without the overhead costs.
